How to Clear Uptown in Raids: Night Tide

Uptown is the city biome: glass towers, wide avenues, palm-lined sidewalks, and AI that holds interiors instead of foggy runways. It is also the map people search because a short clear video exists. This page is that route in text, plus the mistakes the video does not pause to name.

What “clear Uptown” means

Clearing the biome is not a 100 percent collectathon. It is knocking out the small bases and marked sites that gate the Uptown Fortress. If the Fortress is still locked, you missed a satellite. If the Fortress is open, you can stop sweeping random rooftops.

The HUD question marker in official urban stills is the tutorial version of that idea: look at the objective, not at every skyscraper. A knife in your hands on an empty avenue is a screenshot, not a strategy. Swap back to the AN-94 or AK-47 before you enter a lobby.

Fastest way to clear Uptown in Raids: Night Tide

Route principles (the video, spelled out)

1. Spawn, check the minimap, mark the nearest satellite — not the tallest building.
2. Take a Scout or stay on foot if the first site is two blocks away. Helicopters over Uptown are loud and draw roof gunners.
3. Enter through a side street or garage. Main avenues are turret and sightline country.
4. Clear interiors with the same five beats as how to raid: stack, breach, corners, objective, leave.
5. Do not chain a second site if you are one mag from dry. Resupply, then continue. Speed without ammo is a wipe with extra steps.

The “fastest” clear is the one that does not restart. A four-minute video assumes you already have armor and a primary that can actually win a hallway.

Loadout for Uptown

Urban fights are close-to-mid. You want a controllable rifle and a pistol that ends a room when the rifle clicks empty.

• Primary: AK-47 or AN-94. See the weapon tier list.
• Secondary: Desert Eagle if you bought it; Glock 17 if you have not.
• Armor: helmet and vest. Glass lobbies still have head-level windows.
• Utility: grenades for stairwells. C4 for shutters.

If Cash is short, redeem codes before you start the route. 8,000 Cash is a vest and a rifle, which is the real speedrun.

Squad spacing in the city

Three people in one revolving door is a grenade magnet. One breacher, one stairs, one street watch. Squad roles maps this. If you are solo, take the slow stealth version from the stealth guide and accept that “fastest” does not apply to you yet.

Other players on the 16-person server may already be in your building. That is help, not PvP. Do not throw C4 on a door they occupy.

After Uptown is clear

The Fortress for this biome opens. It is not a rooftop parkour bonus. It is a larger compound that expects the same discipline with more AI. Read the Fortress walkthrough before you helicopter onto the roof because it looked cool in a thumbnail.

If you still die in the first lobby, the problem is not the route. It is armor, spray, or a missing grenade. Fix those with the Cash budget tool and getting started, then run Uptown again.

If you keep dying on the same lobby, change the door, not the biome. A second entrance on a side street is worth more than a third attempt through the revolving door the AI already covers. Bring one extra grenade specifically for that stairwell.

Uptown rewards people who treat city blocks like hangars: enter with a plan, finish the marker, leave. The skyline is scenery. The Fortress that opens afterward is the real skyline.
