Prestige and Ranks in Raids: Night Tide

Rank up, prestige for stars, spend them on perks — without resetting before you own a vest.

Prestige and Ranks

The game’s own bullet list is the prestige loop: rank up, prestige for stars, spend them on perks or unlock Gamepasses. Leaderboards already show prestige numbers in the hundreds and raid counts in the hundreds. That is endgame flex, not a tutorial.

This page is when to rank, when to prestige, and how Double XP plus VIP Cash change the math.

Rank versus prestige

Rank is the regular XP ladder. You start Recruit. Missions, base clears, and Fortress finishes feed it. Prestige is the prestige button: you cash the ladder in for stars and start a new climb with those stars in your pocket.

Do not prestige because a YouTuber’s leaderboard overlay said 482. Prestige when:

  • You can still clear a small base comfortably on the current kit
  • You know which perk you will buy with the stars
  • You are not about to attempt your first Fortress under-armored

If you are still on the ARX-160, spend session time on getting started instead of on the prestige confirm.

Stars and perks

Stars are the prestige currency. The shop lets you spend them on perks or toward Gamepass-style unlocks. Perks that make raids smoother beat cosmetic flex. We will not invent a fake perk tree with made-up percentages. Buy the perk that matches how you already play:

  • If you die to turrets, pick survivability.
  • If you run out of ammo in Uptown, pick economy or reload.
  • If you hate walking, look at vehicle-related perks after you read vehicles.

If a perk does not match a problem you actually have, leave the stars in the bank. Impulse prestige is how people re-learn Recruit with worse habits.

Double XP (149 Robux) and VIP (199 Robux)

Double XP: “get double XP for everything.” That is the cleanest paid rank accelerator. Buy it when you already like the game and you are climbing toward a prestige on purpose.

VIP: 2x Cash. That is not XP. That is more AK-47s and vests from the same mission. VIP helps loadout quality. Double XP helps the ladder. They stack in spirit but they buy different problems. Recruits who can only afford one usually want Cash first so the weapon tier list is actually usable.

Neither pass skips satellites. The Fortress still wants small bases cleared.

Missions as the XP farm

The live title is [MISSIONS!] Raids: Night Tide. Missions are the structured way to rank without wandering. Treat the Missions update as your daily XP list. A mission that sends you through a satellite you still needed is double progress: rank plus Fortress unlock.

Do not ignore missions to chase a leaderboard raid counter. Most raids is a statistic. A finished biome is a Fortress.

Prestige and loadouts

Check whether your guns, armor, and garage survive the reset before you press the button. Extra Accessories (175 Robux) adds loadout slots — useful if you keep multiple kits across prestiges. It is not a prestige requirement.

After a prestige, redeem any still-live codes if a new string dropped, then run a quiet base to confirm your perk actually does something. Then go back to how to raid.

If a friend prestige’d at a lower rank than you and suddenly has a perk that makes satellites feel free, that is not a signal to panic-reset. Their stars bought a comfort perk. Your vest still matters more. Copy the perk choice after you can copy their clear.

Leaderboards for highest prestige and most raids are public flex. They are useful as proof that the ladder is deep. They are useless as a schedule. Raid because a Fortress is open, not because a number on a board moved.

Stars are for perks you will use this week. They are not a substitute for aim, stealth, or a vest.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

When should I prestige for the first time?

After you can clear small bases and at least one Fortress without begging for a carry, and after you know which perk you want.

Does prestige delete my guns?

Confirm in the prestige screen before you click. If the kit is staying, prestige. If it is not, buy the perk later.

Is Double XP better than VIP?

Double XP ranks you. VIP pays Cash. Recruits usually need Cash for armor and rifles first.

Do I need high prestige to enjoy the game?

No. The raid loop is bases and Fortresses. Prestige is a long-term layer, not the entry ticket.
