How to Raid Bases in Raids: Night Tide

Small-base method: park off-angle, stack, plant, clear, burn, leave.

How to Raid Bases

Raiding in this game is not a deathmatch score. A base is a compound with AI, cameras, sometimes turrets, and an objective that actually finishes the raid. If you only chase kills you will empty your AN-94 in a hallway and lose the document burn because one defender is still alive in a side room.

This page is the method. Pair it with stealth for the quiet version and with how to clear Uptown when the compound is a city block instead of a hangar.

The five-beat raid

  1. Approach. Park the Scout or helicopter where the gate cameras do not see the engine. Walk the last fifty meters. Ramming the door announces you to every rifle on the roof.
  2. Stack. One player holds the hinge side, one holds the open side. If you are solo, lean, do not stand in the door frame. The HUD lean exists for this.
  3. Breach. E plants C4 on container doors and hangar panels. If you have no C4, grenade the interior then swing. Do not spray the door itself — it does not die, the people behind it do.
  4. Clear. Corners, then stairs, then the objective room. Turrets are cover problems, not DPS checks. Peak, shoot the gunner or the box, hide.
  5. Finish the objective. Burn documents, interact with the marked prop, or hold the room until the UI confirms. Then leave. Lingering for vanity crates is how last-man-alive wipes happen.

The night hangar screenshot on this wiki is the textbook stack: three camouflaged raiders, one planting, two covering, moon behind the tower. Copy that picture even in daylight Uptown.

Objectives you will actually see

Gameplay sessions show document burns after the last defender drops. Official stills show C4 on steel doors. Missions updates add extra tasks on the same compounds. Always read the objective text before you start dumping mags. Killing the last AI is often required before the interact prompt appears — that is why a “cleared” room with one hidden rifleman will refuse to let you burn the papers.

If the prompt never shows, you missed a defender. Check the minimap. Airport and Observatory labels on the compass are not flavor; they are the rooms you still have to sweep.

Noise versus speed

Full-auto through a courtyard is fast until the second floor dumps grenades on you. The stealth guide is slower on paper and faster on Fortresses because you arrive with ammo and HP. Use noise when:

  • You already tripped an alarm
  • You have a three-player stack and grenades
  • The objective is a timed hold and stealth already failed

Use quiet when:

  • You are solo
  • The base has turrets on the approach
  • You are unlocking a Fortress and cannot afford a wipe

Squad jobs

On a 16-player server you will bump into other raiders. Friendly fire is not the fantasy here — this is PvE — but poor spacing still gets teammates shot. One player should be the breacher (C4 / grenade), one the rifle, one the watch on stairs. Squad roles maps those jobs to loadouts.

If a random in your instance is already inside, do not throw C4 on a door they are stacking. Join their clear or take a different small base. The biome has more than one satellite.

What to bring

  • Primary with control: AK-47 or AN-94 over a panicked SMG spray. Ranked on the weapon tier list.
  • A pistol you can swap to in hallways. Deagle hits; Glock is the backup you should have already replaced.
  • Armor. The gear hub is not optional reading after your first turret death.
  • At least one explosive. C4 for doors, grenade for rooms.

Vehicles get you there. They are not the raid. Parking a helicopter on the roof of the objective is loud and cool and often stupid. Read vehicles for when a Chinook actually helps.

After the small bases

When the biome’s satellites are done, the Fortress opens. That is a different scale of the same five beats. Do not invent a new personality. Take the Fortress walkthrough, refill ammo, and go. If Cash is the blocker, redeem anything still live on codes and stop buying uniforms.

Raid, finish, leave. That sentence is the whole skill.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Do I have to kill every enemy?

Usually yes for the interact prompt to appear, but the win condition is the objective, not a kill counter. Sweep, then burn or plant.

What does E do on a door?

If you have C4 equipped, E plants it. Otherwise E is the generic interact for objectives and loot.

Can I raid in a vehicle?

You can drive to the compound. Fighting from a Scout inside a hangar is a good way to explode. Dismount, then raid.

Why is the objective not completing?

A defender is still alive or you are interacting with the wrong prop. Check the minimap and the mission text from the Missions update.
