Vehicles and Helicopters in Raids: Night Tide

Garage Scout, light birds, Chinook — how to rotate without turning the raid into a crash.

Last updated:

Vehicles and Helicopters

The game sells the fantasy in the description: unlock armored vehicles and helicopters. The garage is real. The Scout is sitting there on Recruit. A two-seat bird already flies over the airport at sunset in official art. The Chinook Gamepass is 199 Robux and calls itself the biggest of them all.

Vehicles are rotation tools. They are not a win condition. This page is when to spawn one, when to park it, and which paid airframe is actually worth Robux.

Scout (garage car)

The Scout is the first vehicle most players touch. It is a light car, not a tank. Use it to cross a biome without jogging through turret sightlines. Do not:

  • Ram hangar doors. The door wins.
  • Fight from the driver seat inside a courtyard. You cannot lean, you cannot plant C4, and you are a loud hitbox.
  • Park in the objective doorway. Your squad will hate you and the AI will grenade the engine.

Park off-angle, then play how to raid on foot. That is the whole Scout skill.

Light helicopters

Official captures show a two-person scout helicopter over the airport with the tower in the background. That is the rotation king for biomes with hills and water. Insert on a back road, not on the Fortress roof, unless you have already killed the courtyard turrets.

Helicopters are loud. They are the opposite of the stealth guide. Use them after a wipe to return fast, or to jump from a finished satellite to the next marker. Using them as a gunship in Uptown gets the bird lit up by every window on the block. The Uptown route is faster on the ground for the first clear.

If you crash, you are on foot with less HP and a long walk. Fly like you paid Cash for the airframe even when you did not.

Chinook Gamepass (199 Robux)

Store text: “Gives the Chinook Helicopter, the biggest of them all.” That is a squad taxi. It is excellent for inserting four people onto a back slope. It is a bad stealth tool and a worse idea on a turret-covered roof.

Buy Chinook when you already run Fortresses with a regular squad and you are tired of Scout chains. Do not buy it as a Recruit because the thumbnail is cool. Recruits need vests from codes and the Cash budget, not a flying bus.

Drone Operator (249 Robux)

Not a manned vehicle, but it belongs in this conversation. A drone that spots a turret or a courtyard is how you decide whether the Chinook insert is suicide. If you only buy one recon tool, this is the one that feeds stealth and Fortress planning.

Rules that save airframes

  • Dismount before the stack. Always.
  • Do not hover over an objective you have not cleared.
  • If the squad is already inside, do not land on them.
  • If you are solo, a Scout plus stealth beats a helicopter plus pride.

How vehicles fit prestige

Garage unlocks sit next to rank. Prestige stars can go to perks or toward Gamepass-style unlocks depending on the current shop. Read prestige before you dump stars into a vehicle you will crash on the first Fortress. The leaderboard “most raids” number is not a pilot license.

If you share a two-seat bird, agree who flies before takeoff. Two people fighting the camera is how airport stills become crash stills. The passenger should already have C4 equipped so the stack starts the second you dismount.

Vehicles exist so the open world is actually open. Use them to arrive. Raid on foot. Extract however you want once the documents are burning.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What is the first vehicle I unlock?

The Scout in the garage. It is a light car for rotations, not a battering ram.

Is the Chinook required?

No. It is a 199 Robux Gamepass for a large helicopter. Squads like it. Recruits do not need it.

Can I raid from a helicopter?

You can shoot from one. You will also get shot. Insert, dismount, then raid.

Do vehicles work on mobile?

Yes. The same garage and flight model apply. Land more conservatively on touch controls.
